The theme will detect the set up so there is nothing to worry in the customization.

Try reinstalling it. Maybe you enabled the custom tumblr theme option and the codes screwed it up. Hoping it will solve the problem. :)

Do not click the “Edit HTML” button on the customize page and try to edit the codes if you are not familiar to them. You cannot disable it. All you have to do is to re-install in here.

But I have the best solution for you, hit “restore defaults”. If I have free time, I’ll do my best to fix this thing out.

Yes you can. Go to customize and click the “clear” button beside the “Background”

Then you can choose a solid color for the theme on the colors section.
